Over this past weekend, the Lake Carmel Fire Department took part in New York State's "Recruit NY" weekend by hosting an open house. The event welcomed the public to engage in various activities and tours. Highlights included a K9 demonstration featuring Officer Piekarski from the Kent Police Department and his partner, Saber. Additionally, a car extrication demonstration showcased the tools utilized in the event of a car accident. We are continuously seeking volunteers who are interested in contributing to their community. Those interested are encouraged to visit on any Sunday morning between 9 am and noon.
